Daily Entrees

 

 Pollo Guisado

Chicken stew with potatoes served with white rice, fried sweet plantains or fried green plantains, and a side salad.

 

 Arroz con Pollo

ACP for short this is Chicken and rice.  Served as an entree with your choice of beans, fried sweet plaintains or fried green plantains, and salad. This is another customer favorite!

 

 Carne Guisada

Beef stew with potatoes served with white rice, fried sweet plantains or fried green plantains, and a side salad.

 

 Chuleta Encebollada

Pork chop cooked in onions and a Spanish sauce, served with Arroz con Gandules, fried sweet plaintain or fried green plantain, and a side salad.

 

 Bistec Encebollado

This is a skirt steak slow cooked in garlic, onions, olive oil, and other seasonings to produce a savory tasting and tender steak that melts in your mouth. This is served with your choice of rice, beans, fried sweet plantains or fried green plantains, and a side salad.

 

 Vegan Platter

Available daily, this is a platter made up with all of our traditional vegetable favorites. It comes with your choice of rice and beans, amarillos, tostones, yucca fries, yucca al mojo, grilled veggies, and a side salad.

Our signature sandwich named after our restaurant and our cultural icon…not your ordinary sandwich. Instead of bread, we use a whole fried green plantain sliced down the center and use the two halves as the “bread” of this sandwich. We have options of Bistec Encebollado, Chicken, Steak and Chicken, Pernil, and a Veggie option. We finish this sandwich off with lettuce, tomato, and your option of mayo. El Jibaro is a favorite among locals and if you’re adventurous enough to try something different, you will not regret it!

 

Emparederos

Hot Pressed Sandwiches. These are brand new to our menu. These sandwiches are traditional sandwiches done on bread with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. We offer El Boricua (Bistec Encebollado Sandwich), El Cubano (Cuban Sandwich), and Pernil (Roasted Pork Sandwich).

 

Signature Wraps

A favorite among students and anyone who just needs a quick bite to eat on the go. All wraps come with your choice of rice, beans, grilled veggies, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream. We offer wraps in Chicken, Steak, Pernil, Chicken and Steak combo, and a grilled veggie wrap with no meat.

 

Pastelillos

Another favorite, Pastelillos are stuffed empanadas in the shape of a half moon. Basically, it is pastry dough filled with meat, then deep fried. Three come to an order or you can get one as a side item. We offer Pastelillos in Beef, Pork, or Chicken.

Literally “yellow” but this term describes our Fried Sweet Plantains the #1 favorite menu item! We fry our sweet plantains to a golden brown crisp deliciously sweet and warm. Once you’ve tried these you will come back for more!

 

 Tostones

Fried Green Plantains. These plantains, differ from the Amarillos because in the raw state, they are not as ripened as the Amarillos. We fry, smash and refry these plantains to create something similar to a plantain chip but thicker and nuttier in taste. They are salted and go great with any dish!

 

 Yucca Fries

Yucca is the root of a plant and is also known as “Cassava”. We fry this root just like a potato to form fries.

 

 Yucca al Mojo

We boil the Yucca root and add a garlic mojo sauce to make a traditional and tasty dish.

 

 

 

Desserts

A custard traditional to many Latino Countries, this dessert is smooth and sweet, topped with a thin layer of caramel.
